KAPRIMO

KAPRIMO is a participatory approach in the field of river conservation. It aims to develop, implement and demonstrate a functional and non-conventional river monitoring system, which will stand alone as the backbone and pioneering step towards the restoration process of the rivers of the Kathmandu Valley. It is expected that KAPRIMO will serve as a catalyst for basin and nation-wide river monitoring and conservation planning. The project is designed in a way to be replicated on a regional, national or international level, establishing it as a model for Nepal and South Asia

ECCA Nepal, Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City (LSMC) has jointly organized a week program to mark World environmental day 2008 and aware the general public on environmental issues. The good cause is always admirable, so the Bottlers Nepal too cannot stop joining the programs through its contribution towards environmental conservation. The program has started  with the distribution of clean-up materials like shovels, trash bins, sweep brushes etc in first June to the Schools, local community, clubs and groups for clean up initiations.

World water day 2008

ImageECCA celebrated World Water day 22nd March, 2008 in collaboration with 14 different organizations. The program started at 8:00 AM in the morning with heritage walk along Bagmati River from Teku Dovan to Thapathali. Then the mass turned into a rally towards Basantapur to join Exhibition. ECCA managed photo exhibition and stall to demonstrate the condition of Bagmati River. The program was participated and observed by thousands of visitors in the Basantapur area.

ImageA cultural program to aware people on the water pollution issues was organized on 12th January, 2008. in the premises of the Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City. The major highlight of the program was inter-schools/nature clubs speech contest on the topic “Me and my Bagmati River”. Along with the cultural program; a drama, poem delivery, singing and dancing programs were also kept to add the entertainment in the program. The main objective of the program was to flow the message on the past and present condition of Bagmati River and make a common thought to conserve it. The program was participated by local communities and many students from different schools of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
